Tricks
You skate, you ride, or you surf, pulling tricks feels as natural as standing on your board.
The same goes when you're riding Vew-Do. Like any other board, there are different styles of riding
and a wide-open range of tricks to try. That's why we've put together this trick archive to show off the
range of tricks you can do on a Vew-Do balance board. Check them out and see what you can do.

The Ollie
To learn the ollie the rider must first learn to shorten up his/her
stance towards the tail end of the board. This requires the feet to
be approximately 12 inches apart from each other with the ball of
the back foot on the very tail of the board. Once in this stance,
crouch down from the knees with arms extended out to the sides while
remaining balanced over the rock. Next apply a quick thrust downward
with the back foot while dragging the outside of the front foot along
the length of the deck's surface.(It's this front foot drag that allows
the tail of the board to come up and out of the rock.) As the tail
of the board comes up, you must raise your arms upward while leveling
off both feet beneath your body. At this point you should begin spotting
your 3/4 inch landing groove and stick it with your weight evenly
distributed between both feet. Yaaaa! You landed it!

The Shuv It
Ah, the old shuv-it trick. A basic skateboarding maneuver the shuv-it is a trick
that can be performed on a Vew-do and it's definitely one that will impress your friends.
Begin by balancing in the centered position over the rock. Once comfortable and balanced with
equal amounts of weight on each foot try jumping up off the board while shoving your front foot
forward while your back foot shoves the board backwards. If equal pressure is applied to both
feet at precisely the same time as the feet leave the board the board will naturally spin 180
decrees under you feet, thereby allowing you to land back on the board.
This maneuver can be done both backside and frontside and you can also try shoving the board a full
360 degrees of the 360 shuv-it.

The Transfer
To begin you must first learn to ollie. Obviously you will need a
second rock but other than that the procedure is almost the same as
a standard ollie. The only difference is now on your way up you must
shift your body position in the direction of the other rock thereby
moving your feet to gain position over the other groove. Spot your
landing and absorb as you land. Sure it sounds easy but it will take
some practice. Stay with it and if you have any questions please E-Mail
us. |

The Kickflip
To kick-flip on your Vew-Do Balance Board, crouch down into the ollie
position on the tail of your board. Now, you place your front foot
on the heel edge of the board and press with your toes on the edge.
As you ollie, slide your front foot up and off of the board. As the
board comes around, catch it and push the board back into the rock.
Absorb the landing and stay balanced. Then go and brag to all of your
friends |
